Laser eye surgery - UPDATE
I had to see the doctor again yesterday for my post-op check. All seems to be going well.
My eyes are still recovering and so it's not odd that I can see better with one eye than the other. The optometrist told me I'll experience that the eyes switch in how well I can see with them over the coming weeks. Yesterday things were getting much better. I was especially pleased when I could easily read the labels on the shampoo bottles and such in the bathroom when I took a shower last night. :)
This morning, though, my vision was more blurred than it was yesterday the entire day. That's a little disturbing but I figure it comes with the healing process.
I'm lucky our house isn't stuffy and warm. If it were it would make my eyes dry and painful. Outside it's nice and cold (clear skies, and about 4 degrees Celsius, with only a little wind) and my eyes feel fine. But as soon as I enter a shop or building, it's too warm, too stuffy, too dusty and my eyes start to dry out and become painful in mere minutes. I have a hard time not rubbing my eyes then. I guess I'll have to suffer that for a few weeks to come.
But, so far so good. I'm happy I can read signs and billboards from a distance now, can actually recognise people from a distance, and all that without glasses. The only real niggle still is that I can't read a book or a newspaper properly. I assume that will get better in the next few weeks too.
Tomorrow I'll see the optometrist again.
