Going walkabout, to Marken and Volendam

Today I'm going walkabout to Marken and Volendam, two villages to the north of Amsterdam. Though it's a walkabout, I'm in the tram. I'm going to start from Durgerdam. Just getting there takes a good one hour and fifteen by public transport. If I have to walk there it'll take me four hours. No kidding. It's a walkabout by itself.

It's rather cloudy, though the sun peeks through. It's abit humid and I suspect it rained during the night. The forecast says there'll be mist in the morning and possibly some drizzle in the run of the day; with perhaps some thunderstorms in the late afternoon. I hope I'll stay dry. :)
